Royal Palace of Phnom Pen, Cambodia is located standing at frontside of the 4 face-rivers, and the palace is one of the tourist spots in the capital of Phnom Penh and it’s open everyday, two times a day
When to go there; Morning 8am till 10.30 am and afternoon 2pm till 4.30pm
Present day, It is home to His Majesty Preah Bat smdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk and Her Majesty Preah Reach Akka-Mohesey Norodom Monineath. The palace was built in 1866 by His Majeaty Preah Bat Norodom, great grandfather to our current King. The Royal Palace is built on the site of the old town. This site was especially chosen by a Commission of Royal Ministers and Astrologers because it had great geographical significance in relation to the King, who was regarded as a direct descendant of the gods, whose role it was to live and govern on earth under the influence of heaven.
The title of capital previously went to Oudong, which sits about 40km from Phnom Penh in the northwest of Kampong Speu province. The small city, which sat atop a hill (and can be visited today) was home to the royal residence and stood as capital for more than 250 years – until then-King Norodom relocated it to Phnom Penh in 1865. and also the original of the Cambodia Royal Palace was in Siem Reap Angkor Temples
The palace’s compound are several buildings like, throne hall and elephant room , silver pagoda and some more buildings
Please be noted, going to the royal palace is need to wear a proper clothes like long paint within t-shirt or wear shirts with sleeves, decent shoes, and ladies. scarves/pashminas/sarongs wrapped around is not accepted.

Silver Pagoda Phnom Penh Cambodia, The Silver Pagoda is located on the south side of the Royal Palace in Chey Chumneas, Phnom Penh. The official name is Wat Ubaosoth Ratanaram, also known as Wat Preah Keo Morakot which is commonly shortened to Wat Preah Keo in Khmer.
The pagoda is covered more than five tons of gleaming silver in the form of 5,239 silver plates made by hand.
The pagoda is also known as the Golden Pagoda cause of a life-sized gold Maitreya Buddha decorated with 9584 diamonds, the largest of which weighs 25 carats. The statue was cast by King Preah Bat Samedech Preah Sisowath in 1904 according to King Norodom’s last message.

The pagoda is sent to Buddhism style and there were only one monk who attended the pagoda and the monk was the late king Sihanouk and royal families. currently, the site is open for Phnom Penh tourism and everyone can visit the site
